3 Fall Outfits To Boost Confidence

Hi all,

Excited to share with you a new video and article on 3 Fall outfits to boost your confidence. Essentially, we’re going to look at three items that you might want to look for in clothing when you need that extra confidence boost or, maybe even if you’re about to head to an interview or take an exam. So let’s jump right in!

Boost your Confidence

We all have times in which we could use a little confidence boost. Whether we’re a bit down, we’re about to do something important and need to perform, or maybe are meeting someone important. These three simple things to look out for might help you get that inner boost.

Red

The color red influences your own perceived attractiveness - that is it makes you feel more attractive and how others perceive you. And when we feel more attractive, we feel more confident. Red is also a super bold color - it’s hard to go unnoticed wearing red. So if you’re bold enough to wear a loud, bold color, then you’ll feel more confident as you pull it off.

Now, I totally get what some of you might be thinking: “Christie, I don’t like wearing full loud colors”. And you don’t have to! You can opt instead of red accessories - red lipstick, bag, or shoe, and compliment the rest of your outfit with neutrals.

For date night, red works great too! Whether that is a red jacket or red dress, you’re going to look confident and really good!

Embellishments

the second item we’re talking about that you need to look out for when you’re looking to put together a confidence-boosting outfit are embellishments. What does this mean? Ruffles, lace, floor-sweeping dresses, pleated skirts, gold buttons and pearls, for example.

When you take a step back, what do all these items have in common? They’re normally associated with royalty, or regal status. Someone that is wearing these items commands a presence and attention. And if you truly believe, deep inside, that when you wear these items, you’ll command a similar amount of presence or attention, then you will feel more confident - you’ll feel more royal.

For my look here in the video, i’m wearing a bag with gold detailing, and a pleated skirt with gold buttons. I also recommend taking a look at my “How To Look Expensive” video for this as well.

Suits & Blazers

So yes, you might have guessed this one already: Few pieces outside of a gown make you feel powerful, in charge and confident than a suit, or a good blazer. This is what we’re wearing for more professional settings, but can also be worn to school for an important test as well, for example.

Studies have shown that blazers and suits change the way we think when we wear them - we think more abstractly when we wear them. Now granted, you might not wear this pink suit at work, but any suit will work - black, blue, gray - it doesn’t matter!

Which one do you see yourself wearing more? Let me know in the comments below!
