Alice + Olivia Lori Heel Sandals
These super fun rainbow shoes - perfect for June & the Summer - come courtesy of Alice + Olivia. If you like wearing colors, this shoe is clearly a great option for you. However, even if you're sometimes scared of being too colorful, this shoe is also a great option to add a fun, colorful statement, while still allowing you to go more subtle on the rest of the outfit. Wearing a monochrome, neutral look - say white, black or denim - would go great with these fun shoes.
Lori Heel Sandal Specifications
The 3.5'' sculpted wooden heel is a great height for most occasions - not too low or too high - and since it's a chunky heel, it allows you to wear them during the day, even if your errands require a lot of walking. This makes for an all-around comfortable and versatile shoe that can easily be taken from day to night. The fit is true to size for me and I've walked quite a bit in them and have never had any pain.
The item that might give you a bit of pause is the price. At $350, they're certainly not an every day purchase. They sort of stand in that mid point of not cheap enough to not think about it too much, but not expensive enough for them to be investment shoes. However, you could make the argument for them if you know these will become your Summer sandal and you're going to give them a good amount of use.
How to Style Alice + Olivia Rainbow Heeled Sandals
Thanks to their versatility and day-to-night aspect, there are many items that would look great with these rainbow sandals. For example, if you're heading to brunch or on vacation, consider a white dress and a straw bag - the perfect Summer outfit!
If you'd rather wear denim, no worries. You could go for a crisp white button-down or white bodysuit and pair with the denim like I do here. This look is perfect for just about anything - day or night!
The sandals work great with rompers too. Try a denim romper, for example and a straw hat for a super cute look.
Do keep in mind that since they're colorful, I'd recommend you keep the focus on the shoes and let them shine. The sandals should be the statement piece of the outfit. You CAN, however, wear color, but keep it monochrome.
Verdict
The Alice + Olivia Lori Heel sandals are pretty much the perfect, happy Summer shoe. If you're in the market for a new pair of heeled sandals to take with you on vacation, to the beach, to the pool, or errands, then certainly give these a try. You won't be disappointed in regards to comfort and usability. Some of you might be turned off by the price - and I don't blame you. I wish these were just a tad cheaper, but they're without a doubt a great pair of sandals for Summer!
