3 Versatile Outfits with Karen Millen

Summer is still in full swing and I've just arrived back in New York after a few weeks in Miami, my hometown. There, I had the chance to attend Miami Swim Week for the 3rd year in a row, visit family and hang out with friends. But I also had the opportunity to wear a few pieces from renowned UK designer Karen Millen and below you’ll find all the details!
Vibrant Summer Dress
As soon as I saw this dress, it caught my attention. It’s vibrant, fun and a great choice for summer and even better in Miami, a city that welcomes and embraces vibrant colors year-round.
This dress is certainly elegant, but it can also be dressed down a bit. For example, if you’re headed on vacation or on a cruise, you can bring this dress to serve two functions: you can dress is down with flat sandals and a plain beach bag to walk the town or you can dress it up to go out to a nicer dinner. Alternatively, you can wear this dress if you’re going to a wedding or more formal event. To style it, simply choose your go-to evening clutch and pair with strappy heeled sandals.
The one item to keep in mind when styling with dress is that it’s vibrant and certainly a statement. As a result, avoid statements bags and let the dress take center stage.
Off-White Khaki Dress
By now, you know that I look for versatility when I shop. How can I style this piece more than 3 times? That’s the question I often ask myself. This dress fits the bill. Its color allows you to wear it to formal events, such as a bridal or baby shower. It also works great as a vacation or dinner dress. But it can also be worn for work – no question! It all depends on how you style it.
For dressier occasions, grab your heeled espadrilles(think vacation) or strappy heeled sandals (think formal event or night out). Pair with larger beach bag or clutch, respectively.
If headed to work, this dress works perfectly. Remember to pair with closed-toe shoes and you’re set!
Shirt & Top Combo
I know, I know! You thought this was another dress. But, no, here we have a beautiful shirt and skirt combination that work as separates, making them an amazing purchase. Both pieces can easily be styled as separates, as they can be complemented rather easily. If wearing them together though, the outfit works great for date night or work.
I’ve styled them here for date night, with strappy heeled sandals and an evening clutch. Elegant and stylish, while showing a little leg.
If wearing to work, simply grab your go-to work bag and swap the sandals for closed-toe shoes!
