NYFW Outfit #4 + How to Wear Your Summer Dress in Winter

Hi all,

The recap of NYFW continues. Hopefully by now you've seen the Athleusire look worn to Lacoste, the faux fur Tadashi coat worn to his show and the layered ruffled look. This day was a rainy day, so whatever plans you sort of had before, just went out the window. So, I put this look together featuring a new favorite piece and, of course, some items for a rainy day.

The centerpiece of this particular outfit was this beautiful black and white M by Missoni dress. I immediately fell in love with it thanks in part to the A-line shape and the tie detailing at the shoulders. While you'd wear this with a pair shoes and nothing else in the Summer, we're talking about February in New York City. So, I grabbed my warm go-to black turtleneck.

Because it was raining, I knew I needed a trench, so I chose this classic trench coat that I've had in my closet for eyars and styled it off the shoulder. To help better define and accentutate my waist, I simply belted it!

To finish off the look, I chose to go with one of the hottest items right now: Fishnets. For my feet, I chose flatforms. The final accessory to add to the look? An umbrella of course! You can never go wrong with one of these clear, bubble umbrellas. You can usually find them street side for a few dollars.

How To Wear Summer Dress in Winter

We all have cute summer and spring dresses that we'd love to wear during winter, but the key is how. We can't freeze, right? One style tip I always recommend is to add a neutral tee or turtleneck underneath for warmth. For the bottom? Simply wear stockings or fishnets with over the knee boots and you are ready to step out in the middle of winter with your summer or spring dress!

As always, thank you for reading!
