Black Pleated Skirt

Who doesn't like pleats or pleated skirts? This is not the first pleated skirt you see me wear and certainly won't be the last! I am in love with this Alexis black and white pleated Maximiliano skirt from Shop Splash. In this post I'll discuss the skirt and how you can style your next pleated skirt.

This particular skirt from Alexis is a sheer skirt, so you have to pair it with a black mini dress, a slip or leggings or else you're going to be showing more than you bargained for! Edge the look up by pairing with black leather jacket draped over a white basic tee like I do here. If not, you can stay with neutrals or a pop of color, like a red sweater for example. But always keep it a solid color.

For accessories, I decided to wear pointy toe pumps to help elongate my legs. For the bag, I grabbed my new vintage Hermes, but you can also consider adding a pop of color instead with a fun red clutch.

This pleated sheer skirt is a great focal piece to wear on a fun night out on the town with the girls or a cool event. If you're in Europe, Canada or the US right now (winter as I type this), then pair with leggings and ankle booties or with over the knee boots. Add a great chunky knit sweater or turtleneck plus a coat and you're set even in cold temperatures. Hey, I may even wear this to fashion week.
