Why you need a puffer coat

Why do you want to add a puffer coat to your wardrobe? A puffer coat is a great winter, casual and versatile coat. You can go to the gym, you can run errands, but you can also style to go out at night as well. It’s a jack of all trades coat that you use almost anywhere and will keep you super warm, while blocking the wind.

From a fashion psychology perspective, a good puffer coat will achieve two things: First, thanks to its design, it’ll help you give off a cool, yet casual vibe. But it also can give you a sartorial hug of sorts - the one I’m wearing here one even FEELS like you’re wearing a bed duvet or blanket around you! While this one is lightweight, I can’t guarantee you’ll feel as relaxed, as you would if you were wearing a weighted blanket. Technically it’d need to weigh 10% of your body weight to do so but you MAY experience feeling relaxed and comfortable when you wear it, in particular if you associate a bed duvet as being relaxing, the quality might carry over! ⁣

Styling a puffer coat

The number one tip to always keep in mind when wearing a puffer coat is…. : always wear with fitted clothing. So obviously a puffer coat is.. well… puffy. So if we wear other puffy items, or loose and big items, it’ll make us larger than life - not in a good way - and we’ll look like a balloon or marshmallow. So, look for fitted tops and bottoms when wearing a puffer coat!

Now let’s go to the video and check out the 4 fun ways I style the puffer coats!
