White Linen Skirt

Hi all,

Thanks for stopping by! Today's outfit inspiration is all about the white linen skirt in general, and this one in particular from Tobi. Let's take a look at how to style this essential Spring and Summer staple.

Linen as a Fabric

Linen as a whole is great - the fabric is breathable and will let you avoid those embarrassing sweat stains during the warmer months. A white linen piece such as this skirt can be paired with pretty much anything, making a great fabric, also easy to style. The con to linen overall? It gets wrinkly quickly, so be sure to iron or steam your skirt to ensure it's as crisp as possible before venturing out.

How to Style a White Linen Skirt

How many times have I talked about versatility? Many, I know! But that's why I love this skirt from Tobi. The length of the skirt means it can be worn for work, brunch, or even a happy hour.

For this one in particular, I picked these beautiful lace up sandals designed for Disney's Alice Through The Looking Glass collection from Call It Spring which appealed to the feminine, girly-girl inside of me. Let's face it: Who didn't grow up wanting to be a princess from one of the Disney classics? These sandals are great fun!

Since the skirt and the shoes were more conservative in nature, I chose to edge things up with the top. That's why I picked this classic tank from American Apparel for a sexier, fitted feel. Now, if you prefer to stay conservative, just grab a fitted cardigan or a cropped blazer or leather jacket. Why cropped? Because this is an A-line high waisted piece. If you were something very long, you'll end up hiding your smallest piece (Hint: Your waist!). With the cropped pieces, you accentuate your waist for a figure-flattering look! I then paired the look with my new Henri Bendel Uptown Satchel.

If you don't own a white linen skirt, Summer is just around the corner, so shop the one I'm wearing or go for a similar one today!

As always, thank you for reading!

XOXO,

Christie
